Looking for an established campsite. Later we were to findout that there were sites here. Believe this may have been Big Pete Meadow. But we continued on down the valley. Passed several people coming up the valley but none knew anything about the weather. Finally started to warm up about 9500 ft. Finally reached an obvious campsite at 6:00 pm. Were 2 others at the site also. By 8:00 in the evening the clouds started to clear up although the wind still held fast. Covered about 5 miles today and dropped about 3000 ft. Got to bed about 10:20.
