Su and Jan arriving at the top of Black Giant about 5:30 Jan slow coming up on a swollen knee. The views are fabulous. The air still has some haze from the forest fires and the angle of the sun. The distance to the peaks in the background is about 5 miles. Muir Pass is just to the right center, with the hut just visable.
