Another perfect campsite at the last lake before the stream drops into the Evolution Valley. The temperature today has been about 60 deg. Reached this campsite about 5:00. Passed several groups heading up the canyon today. A group of seven said they were going to sandy beach (grassy berm) which would really be overload for that site. But it seems to have survived sofar in all the years that I have seen it. Much better than other sites. Our campsite had been used by horse packers and showed it. The eroded area behind the tents in the photo was from horses being staked there. The horse droppings in the area appeared to be this years vintage.
