Showing one end of a strongback made from tubing. Not required, but available was 3/4" CuNi boiler tubing that fit standard Cu tube fittings. The webbing was passed through the "tee" and tied as a simple granny knot around a hardwood dowel. The knot pulled into the fitting which locked it tight.
